Hi Chintan, good additional points. Compression is a good point – and we are not talking about gzip compression but actual js minifications/compression. What I also see a lot are js files that grow and grow overtime but nobody “cleans” them from the code that is no longer in use. The problem partially is that it is hard to tell which code is used and which is not. With the dynaTrace A

i see your static resources are coming from various number of sources, load your js files at the end of the page – may be in footer jsp if you have one.
- Improve caching at webserver level of static resources,

Hi Chintan, good additional points. Compression is a good point - and we are not talking about gzip compression but actual js minifications/compression. What I also see a lot are js files that grow and grow overtime but nobody "cleans" them from the code that is no longer in use. The problem partially is that it is hard to tell which code is used and which is not. With the dynaTrace AJAX Edition you can see which methods have been called. We already got some good RFEs for extending that feature to include js code coverage.
thanks for contributing your knowledge- cheers

@sk/all:
as we also discuss all these questions on the dynaTrace AJAX Online Forum I think its time to just post the link to the discussion thread over there to keep all the information in one place: https://community.dynatrace.com/community/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=31588372

@sk: are you just interested in the actual time spent on network, rendering and javascript? If that is the case you would add up those numbers.
If you want to know how long it took for you to walk through your use case I would just open the TimeLine View and figure out how long the action took you. This approach makes most sense if you use an automated testing tool that drives the browser. if you do it manually you will get very volatile timing results.
