Hello Andreas,
I started using dynaTrace (AJAX), at first I was also a bit confused with the information pop up box. There were other issues also, they were mainly mentioned here. To solve the appearing questions I found some additional info and tips on this very topic on the web http://www.pdfok.com/dynatrace-ajax-edition . Might be useful for other readers as well
Regards!.

Hi Andreas,

I've done more research and found some concrete answer for my queries. According to this site:

http://perfhints.blogspot.com/2009/01/end-user-response-time-vs-tool-response.html

"In modern day internet/web application, response time can be computed as follows

Response time = server side response time + network delay + client side processing time + rendering time"

DynaTrace provide all this details in capturing the web page response time. Great tool and thanks a lot Andreas for your input.

hi i've just started to use dynaTrace AJAX and have few queries.

how do the total response time is calculated (say i load a page, login n do some transaction and logout)?
where i can see the total response time, is it by adding up, start (ms), network(ms),javascript(ms),rendering(ms) and page load (ms)?

i also realized that when i right click session and select details, i get a pop up box with some details. i can duration(ms) with some figures. is tht total response which got recorded?
